Welcome to the Illinois Association of Meat Processors. The Illinois Association of Meat Processors (IAMP) has serviced the needs of small to mid-sized meat processing establishments throughout Illinois and the businesses that supply them for over 50 years. The association assists members with legislative and inspection issues, membership networking through tours and the Annual Convention and Trade Show, and provides a meats competition during the Annual Convention. Furthermore, the association promotes its members through displays at the Illinois State Fair, the Newsletter and on this website.

It's never too late to talk about youth learning Meats Judging and Identification! Thank you to Raber Packing Co. for hosting two workshops for meats judging in June. The crew at Raber's prepared 101 Retail Cuts to identify by naming the species, primal, retail cut name, and cooking method. We extend our sincerest gratitude to Elli Burris at the University of Illinois Meat Science and students of the U of I Meats Judging Team for preparing and implementing the workshop. Watch for dates and locations for the 2026 Youth Meat Judging Series. News Flash: The participation has exceeded our goals and a 4th contest will be added in 2026. ... See MoreSee Less
